7 Guns We’d Like To See in John Wick: Chapter 3

The first promotional poster and a brief synopsis of John Wick: Chapter 3 has begun making it’s rounds in the press. What we know so far, is that things will pick up at the end of Chapter 2; and have Keanu Reeve’s iconic assassin on the run; as there is a $14 million dollar contract on his life, and he has just one hour before becoming “Excommunicado”. (his membership in the secret assassins’ society revoked, and his protections and services now removed.) The story is said to revolve around his fight to escape New York City with his life. Hotel Manager Winston granted him only a brief grace period to get as far away as he can, the rest is up to Baba Yaga.

Here at My First AR15, we are huge fans of the franchise, and this recent chatter about Mr. Wick returning to the big screen has us wondering what insane pieces of weaponry he will be using to get out of dodge. Curl up with a glass of Blanton’s, and check out a list of the firearms we’d most like to see in the next installment:

Sig Sauer MPX K PSB

The MPX K PSB is a pistol variant of the popular Sig MPX rifle. This is a firearm that would serve Mr. Wick well in close encounters. It’s lightweight, compact, and chambered in 9mm which gives it a controllable recoil for those lightning-fast double taps. Throw on a SilencerCo Octane 9 suppressor and use subsonic rounds and this puppy would be whisper quiet.

Cobalt Kinetics TEAM

It’s a bit over the top, but wouldn’t this thing look sexy on the big screen? Cobalt Kinetics is the Lamborghini of modern sporting rifles. They’re fast, they’re flashy, and they’re designed to win competitions. Low-mass bolt carrier, over-sized magazine well, as well as specially engineered safety, flat trigger, and buffer system which all translate into a speedy, deadly accurate firearm. Chambered in .223 Wylde, Mr. Wick could confidently reach out and touch some boogeymen with this thing. Plus, it pairs nicely with a black skinny necktie.

Heckler & Koch P30L

The P30L with some sort of compensator had a fair amount of screen time in John Wick: Chapter 1 as his primary sidearm. We saw his handgun preferences change, and he switched to Glock 34; presumably equipped like the Taran Tactical Innovations custom gun that bears his name.

While the Glocks used are obviously a good choice, Mr. Wick seems to prefer his hammer-fired guns as opposed to striker-fired, as he is also seen using several 1911s like the Kimber Warrior.  We’d like to see the P30L make a comeback in Chapter 3, It’s a bit smaller and has better ergonomics than the TTI Glock, and maybe he’ll swap out the compensator for a nice suppressor.

People keep asking if I’m back and I haven’t really had an answer. But yeah, I’m thinking I’m back

Mossberg 590m

A magazine-fed variant of the popular pump-action, brand new for 2018. It might not be semi-automatic like John Wick’s trusty Benelli M4; but its hard to argue with it’s 11 round capacity and fast reloads. Nothing clears a room like a trusty shotgun, and this would be a great choice of defensive weapon when every assassin in the Big Apple is gunning for you.

Magnum Research Desert Eagle Mark XIX L5

Weighing in at just over 3 pounds, the new lightweight Desert Eagle chambered in .357 Magnum would pack a lot of punch, and lose the extra 2 pounds that make a standard Deagle too much to tote around. Magnum Research shaved a lot of unnecessary material out of this thing to make it much easier to handle, although I still don’t think Keanu’s slim build could conceal this beast. I’m sure legalities aren’t a top priority for John Wick, but according to Magnum Research’s website, this fella is in fact New York State compliant!

Taran Tactical Innovations Glock 30 Combat Carry

Every good assassin needs a good backup pistol. You never know when you might be relaxing in front of the TV or out on the town and a boogeyman will try and catch you off guard. The TTI Glock 30 has a host of upgrades and options, like a magazine extension, trigger tweaks, stippling, enhanced optics, and some slide milling to reduce weight and increase the cool factor.

John Wick once killed three men in a bar with a pencil. A friggin pencil…

Barrett MRAD

When you care enough to send the very best, you go to Barrett. Eventually, John will get out of immediate harms way, and he’ll likely be planning vengeance on whoever placed the $14m contract on his head. Available in a variety of calibers, we think Mr. Wick would probably go for the .338 Lapua option which is renowned for it’s insane accuracy and stopping power. This is a bolt action gun that lives for controlled, calculated long-distance shots. 800+ yard targets are no match for this bad boy.
